RedShiftBio at Formulation & Delivery UK 2022

May 6, 2022

RedShiftBio will be sponsoring the upcoming Formulation and Delivery UK Congress, May 5-6, 2022 in London.

We are excited to support this long-running event with an exhibit featuring the AQS³®pro and a presentation on the latest applications of Microfluidic Modulation Spectroscopy.

Our team is looking forward to meeting with the pharmaceutical development community to demonstrate how MMS can empower, innovate and inspire new advancements in their work. Please visit us at Booth #3!

A New Tool for your Biophysical Toolkit, Microfluidic Modulation Spectroscopy (MMS): Automated, IR-Based Protein Structural Analysis for Stability and Formulation Testing

Microfluidic Modulation Spectroscopy (MMS) is a revolutionary Infra-Red-based biophysical technique giving unparalleled sensitivity for protein structural characterization, and observing small differences that can relate to misfolding or aggregation processes that are critical to the development and production of a successful and safe biotherapeutic. Utilizing an automated platform, MMS is ideally suited to a wide range of applications, particularly for stability and formulation testing.

TheAQSpro employs a powerfulquantum cascade laser in combination with microfluidic optics to perform MMS,enabling much improved background subtraction and the path length of themeasurement to be tripled compared to traditional techniques. This allows aprotein concentration range of 0.1 - >200 mg/ml to be analysed, and foranalysis to be performed in simple and complex buffers with equal ease. The AQSprosimplifies the process of data collection and by incorporating steps such asbaselining and cleaning verification into its automated operation, allows auser to collect high-quality data quickly and simply. Samples are analysed from24 and 96-well plates, with a cooling option, and data can be rapidly processedand exported using the inbuilt AQSdelta analysis package to provide a breakdown of structures present by percentage, by mathematical comparison, or by inspection of the raw data

Please join us to learn more about the benefits of MMS compared with traditional secondary structure tools. This presentation will cover technical aspects of the technology with examples of its application.
